First of all, both languages use the Cyrillic alphabet. Also, there are many words that are common to both Kyrgyz and Russian. For example, \u201c\u043f\u043e\u043c\u0438\u0434\u043e\u0440 (tomato)\u201d is a word that is pronounced slightly differently in the two languages, but is common to both.
