“Clap clap, cha-cha-cha”: a rhythm and dance you can’t help but copy. Have you heard of “Dbillions,” the four-member group captivating children all over the world on YouTube?
Colorful costumes and catchy English songs. In fact, this group is a team of YouTubers from Kyrgyzstan whose view counts surpass even BTS and Taylor Swift. I love them too, and was enjoying their videos even before I started this job.
They’re scheduled to come to Japan for the Expo National Day on June 6 and the Osaka Station event the next day. This time, through their appeal and their signature song “Welcome to Kyrgyzstan,” I’ll bring you some travel-mood entertainment that shows what makes Kyrgyzstan so special.
Who Are Dbillions?
Kyrgyzstan-born super YouTubers who captivate children around the world.
- Debuted in 2019 with “Left! Right!”
- Over 32 million subscribers and an incredible 31.6 billion+ views
- More views than BTS and Taylor Swift
Dbillions focuses on educational entertainment, available in English and many other languages. The members are Chicky, Cha-Cha, Boom-Boom, and Lya-Lya. With pink wigs and unique moves that catch the eye, they truly are “idols for toddlers around the world.”
Recently, they’ve also been helping spread the Kyrgyz language, their mother tongue, not just English, and their producer’s words, “If every child learns 30 Kyrgyz words, that’s a win,” drew attention. In 2023 they were officially honored by the Kyrgyz government for their cultural contribution, and they’re in the spotlight as a symbol of the country’s “digital nomad” strategy.
Pop culture born on YouTube, spreading from Central Asia to the world. Dbillions are a symbol of this era.
“Welcome to Kyrgyzstan”: A Song That Shows Even Kids Kyrgyzstan’s Charm
Released in 2024, “Welcome to Kyrgyzstan” is like a Kyrgyz version of a “tourism ambassador song.”
- High plateaus, horses, traditional costumes, and smiles: 3.5 minutes packed with it all
- Catchy introductions to the culture, like “yurts” and “horse riding”
- A pop take on the beauty of nature and the warmth of the people
Since it’s in English, children can learn about another culture while having fun. More and more people are hooked: “Wait, isn’t Kyrgyzstan a great place?”
What Kind of Country Is Kyrgyzstan?

A land of horses and people, surrounded by the mountains and lakes of Central Asia.
- The Tian Shan mountains and vast high plateaus
- Nomadic culture living in harmony with nature
- So fond of Japan that people call the Japanese “brothers”
“Welcome to Kyrgyzstan” features Lake Issyk-Kul, yurts, children in traditional costumes, and more. Watch the video, and in just 3 minutes you’ll surely start thinking, “I want to go.”

An Unexpected Reaction! Dbillions Responded on Instagram

On a side note…
I’m actually planning to go to the National Day on the 6th, and I was so excited that I posted on Instagram about how happy I was to meet Dbillions. To my surprise, they featured my post in their official Stories! I did a double take at such an unexpected reaction. Dbillions, the stars of Kyrgyzstan… I simply have to support them.
